Protecting customer information is a priority for us. Access to customer information is restricted to only those persons who need to know that information in order to provide products and services to you.  We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard customer information.

• Information we receive from consumer reporting agencies
• Information collected from our web site and Internet banking site

Our Policy About Disclosing Customer Information Outside Of The Guernsey Bank:
The Guernsey Bank shares this nonpublic information with third parties only as permitted or required by law for routine business purposes which includes, but is not limited to:

• Maintaining and servicing your account
• Processing checks or wires
• Debt collection
• Printing customer checks
• When required by law, such as pursuant to court order, subpoena or government agency examination or investigation or to protect the bank's rights

Example of Entities With Which We Share Information As Permitted by Law:  

• Credit reporting agencies
• Law enforcement, auditors, government agencies and courts
• Data processing and software companies that perform services necessary for us to maintain and service your account
• Anyone that you personally authorize to receive such information

Opt Out:
Because we do not share your customer information with third parties (except as permitted or required by law) you do not need to opt out of anything with The Guernsey Bank.  If you close your accounts or become an inactive customer, we will adhere to the privacy policies and practices as described in this notice.

Internet:
Our use of online “cookies” on our web site and/or Internet Banking site is strictly for our own use. There is no personal information contained in the “cookies” and they provide another level of security for you while on the site(s).  No information will ever be given or sold for marketing purposes other than the bank’s own marketing of its products and services.

Changes to The Guernsey Bank's Privacy Policy:
If there are any changes to this policy, you will receive a revised policy by mail and it will be posted on our web site and Internet banking site.
